Data Privacy and Security Policy
Introduction
Protecting the privacy of our customers is one of our priorities. In this general outline of our online privacy policy we explain how we protect the privacy of the personal data that is submitted by you to us online ("the Data"), in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (Cap.486)("the Ordinance").Under the Ordinance, personal data means any data
- relating directly or indirectly to a living individual;
- from which it is practicable for the identity of the individual to be directly or indirectly ascertained; and
- in a form in which access to or processing of the data is practicable.
Data Requested
The kind of personal data we collect from you will vary depending on the type of services you are requesting. For example, when making travel arrangements, we generally collect the following personal data from you : your name, passport or travel document number, nationality, email address, credit card number and expiry date, billing address, telephone number, fax number, and loyalty programme membership details (if any).If you are submitting personal data which relates to other individuals ("Individuals"), we assume that you would have obtained the consent from each of the Individuals for the use of his or her personal data and comply with the provisions of the Ordinance.
How the Data is Used
The Data will be used by us, our associated companies, agents and/or sub-contractors for several purposes which include:- for which the Data were to be used at the time of collection or for purposes directly related or incidental to any such purposes;
- processing travel arrangements;
- for our own records; or
- for contacting you and/or any of the Individuals:
- if there is a change in travel arrangements;
- on any matters relating to the marketing and / or provision of our products or services; or
- for research and analysis purposes so that we can monitor and improve our services.
Sharing and Disclosure of the Data
We will not collect, use, share or disclose the Data except in accordance with our privacy policy and the provisions of the Ordinance.Apart from sharing the Data with our associated companies, agents and / or subcontractors for purposes stated above, we may also share the Data with organisations which we believe is necessary for us to complete your request for the purchase of our products or services, such as credit card authorisation organisations. Furthermore, the Data may be disclosed to other bodies in compliance with the law, court orders, the requests made by the government or any law enforcement agencies, for the protection of our rights and properties or for the prevention, preclusion or remedying of any unlawful or seriously improper conduct.
Updating Data
If there is a change in any of the Data , you and / or any of the Individuals could click here to correct or update the Data.Receiving News Updates
We, our associated companies, agents and / or subcontractors may wish to provide you and/or any of the Individuals with information about products and / or services which we think may be of interest to you and/or any of the Individuals by sending email updates occasionally. If you and / or any of the Individuals do not wish to receive such updates, an email should be sent to eservice@dragonair.com with "Unsubscribe" in the subject line.Privacy of Minors
We are unable to distinguish the age of users who access and use our website. However, for the protection of the privacy of minors, we will not collect or maintain personal data of those users who are under 13 years of age.Changes to our Privacy Policy

SSL encrypts all communications between your computer and our server so that the information can only be read and understood by us.We make no warranty in respect of the strength or effectiveness of the encryption and we are not responsible for any incidents arising out of or in connection with any unauthorised access of the Data or for any loss or damage which you and/or any of the Individuals have or may have suffered as a result of or in connection with your submission of personal data to us.
