![]() | Mr. Kenny Tang joined Dragonair as Chief Executive Officer in August 2006. Mr. Tang has considerable experience in the airline industry in Hong Kong. A chartered accountant, he joined Cathay Pacific's Accounts Department in 1979, rising through the ranks to become General Manager, Corporate Finance, in 1994. In 1997, Mr. Tang was appointed Chief Operating Officer of freight carrier Air Hong Kong, and in February 2000 he took over as General Manager, Cargo, for Cathay Pacific. In 2004 he was seconded to Swire Pacific as Managing Director of Taikoo Motors, based in Taiwan. Mr. Tang is married with one child. |
![]() | Ms. Maggie Yeung was appointed Dragonair General Manager, International Affairs in August 2008, adding to her existing title of General Manager, Inflight Services, a position she has held since 2006. She oversees the airline's international affairs and all matters relating to inflight services including cabin crew management, inflight catering and inflight sales, as well as the development and implementation of inflight service improvements in order to maintain and enhance Dragonair's status as a leader in regional inflight passenger services. Prior to taking up these posts, Ms. Yeung was Assistant General Manager, Revenue Management and Distribution. She joined Dragonair in 1989 as a Management Assistant and since then has held a wide variety of positions at the airline. Ms. Yeung is a graduate of the University of Hong Kong and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Science. |
![]() | Captain Peter Sanderson was appointed General Manager Operations in September 2008. He oversees the development and management of policies in the airline's Operations Division to ensure the safe, effective and economical operation of the airline's fleet. He also manages all elements of operational activity to ensure Dragonair complies fully with the requirements of its Air Operator's Certificate. Captain Sanderson has considerable experience in the aviation industry. He joined Dragonair in 1993 and has held various positions including Check & Training Captain, Manager Airbus and Assistant General Manager Operations. Prior to joining Dragonair, Captain Sanderson worked for the UK carrier Dan-Air and served in the Royal Navy's Fleet Air Arm. He recently graduated from the INSEAD Asian Executive Programme. |
![]() | Ms. Christine Chan is Dragonair's General Manager, Personnel. In this capacity, she is responsible for overseeing the human resources strategy, formulating effective staff policies, managing industrial relations and developing training and development programmes for all staff members. Prior to her appointment, Ms. Chan was Manager, Personnel. She joined Dragonair in 1989 and left for further study in 1990. After completing a Master's degree in the UK, she rejoined Dragonair in 1992 as Assistant Manager, Personnel. Ms. Chan is married with one daughter. |
![]() | Ms. May Lam-Kobayashi was appointed Head of Corporate Communication in May 2007. In this position she oversees the operation and strategic direction of the airline's network-wide corporate communication. Prior to taking up this post, Ms. Kobayashi was Corporate Communication Manager, Overseas, at Cathay Pacific Airways, which she joined as Assistant Manager, Corporate Communication, Product, in 1999. Ms. Kobayashi also has extensive experience in the broadcasting industry. Ms. Kobayashi holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of Washington and a Master's degree in Public Administration from Seattle University. |
![]() | Dr. Kwok Chan was appointed Head of Corporate Safety and Quality in September 2004. In this position, he is responsible for maintaining the highest level of operational safety by ensuring safety and quality policies, processes and regulations are complied with in all areas of Dragonair's operations. He also ensures the company's Safety and Quality Management System is in compliance with the standards of the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department, the International Civil Aviation Organization and the International Air Transport Association. Prior to joining Dragonair, Dr. Chan was in various management positions at Airbus Industrie in France and the UK. He started his aviation career as a graduate aircraft design engineer with British Aerospace, Airbus Division, in the UK. He was later transferred to Airbus headquarters in France to head up various management positions in engineering until finally becoming the Director of Flight Safety, in charge of safety and accident investigations. Dr. Chan holds a Ph.D in aircraft systems engineering and is a registered chartered engineer with the UK Engineering Council as well as a private pilot. He is married with two children. |
![]() | Mr. Darryl Chan was appointed Head of Engineering in August 2008. He is responsible for ensuring the Dragonair fleet is safe, reliable and cost effective by working with partners Cathay Pacific Airways, Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited and Taikoo (Xiamen) Aircraft Engineering Company Limited. Prior to joining Dragonair, Mr. Chan held various management positions in Cathay Pacific Airways. He started as an Engineering Trainee and has also held the positions of Technical Services Manager (Boeing), Manager Aircraft Engineering and Person in Charge of the Design Organisation and Manager Engineering Planning. Mr. Chan is a Chartered Engineer and is also a fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and Membership Secretary of its Hong Kong Branch. Mr. Chan holds a Bachelor's Degree in Air Transport Engineering from the City University London. |
