About Online Check-In

Check in online and experience the convenience and speed of checking in for your flight. It's simple, easy, quick and efficient.

With Online Check-In, you can:

• Check in for Dragonair and Cathay Pacific flights and any onward flights on partner carriers 48 hours up to 90 minutes prior to flight departure
• Select a seat for yourself and your companions
• Change your seat
• Add or update your Frequent Flyer Number
• Print Self-Print Boarding Pass (where applicable) or Send Check-In Confirmation to Mobile or Print a Confirmation.
• Get the latest departure and weather information
• Subscribe to notiFLY, our flight messaging service
• Collect your boarding pass at Self Check-In Kiosk (where applicable)
• Drop your bags at the Self Check-In Bag Drop Counter at the airport**
• Cancel Check-In for yourself and your companions.
  

Who can check in online:

All passengers holding e-Tickets except,

• Passengers requiring Medical Assistance
• Unaccompanied Minors
• Passengers travelling in a group and are registered as a group in the booking
• Passengers whose ticket requires some additional payment.

How to check in online:

Keep the following documents at hand:

1. Club/ Asia Miles - Membership Number/ User ID and PIN/ Password
2. E-Ticket Number/Flight and passenger details
3. Passport and Secondary Travel Documents (if any) - Some countries require you to enter passport details.
   

Members:

Important: Ensure your Club or Asia Miles number is in your booking

• Simply log in with your membership number/ User ID and PIN
• Select your flight(s)
• Select your seat
• Confirm your Check-In
• Print Self-Print Boarding Pass (where applicable) or Send Check-In Confirmation to Mobile or Print a Confirmation.
  

Non-Members (e-Ticket Holders only):

• Enter your personal and flight details such as name, flight number and departure date to retrieve your booking
• Select the flight(s) you wish to check in for
• Select your seat
• Confirm your Check-In
• Print Self-Print Boarding Pass (where applicable) or Send Check-In Confirmation to Mobile or Print a Confirmation.
  

* Online Check-In is available for

1. Dragonair: All Dragonair flights and codeshare flights operated by Cathay Pacific departing from Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Taipei, Kaohsiung, Busan, Phuket, Dhaka, Bengaluru (Bangalore), Kota Kinabalu, Hanoi, Manila and Phnom Penh. Exceptions are codeshare flights operated by our partner carriers.
2. Cathay Pacific: All Cathay Pacific flights, including codeshare flights operated by Dragonair (with conditions listed in statement 1 above). Exceptions are chartered flights, codeshare flights and trains operated by our partner carriers.

**If you are going to Hong Kong International Airport by Airport Express (AEL), you can drop your bags at In Town Check-In of Hong Kong or Kowloon station, MTR.
