Dragonair - Putting the Health of Passengers First
As Hong Kong's airline, Dragonair always puts the health and safety of its passengers and employees as a top priority. In light of the increased attention being given to the potential threats of avian flu around the world, the airline has put a number of procedures in place to increase its preparedness in the event of any serious outbreak of the disease.
Dragonair has been working closely with the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department and the Airport Authority Hong Kong to ensure full avian flu preparedness. The airline has also been seeking advice from the Centre for Health Protection and other experts on the issue.
Dragonair already has proper procedures in place to assist cabin crews if they need to deal with passengers onboard who are suspected to have any kind of infection. The guidelines are in line with those established by the World Health Organization and Centers for Disease Control and Protection specifically for airline staff and passengers.
With the health of passengers and employees in mind, Dragonair always maintains the highest standard of cleaning and disinfecting for its aircraft cabins, seats, galleys and restrooms. Cleaning procedures are aligned with guidelines issued by various international regulatory and health authorities.
Dragonair adopts HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Arresters) filtration systems that are capable of filtering 99.999% of dust particles and airborne contaminates, ensuring the highest possible quality of cabin air.
The airline continues to review and reinforce all health procedures in accordance with guidelines issued by regulatory, industry and health authorities.
