Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Programme
At Dragonair we believe it is important to actively participate in enhancing the quality of life in the communities in which we operate. The activities under our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme are the tangible demonstration of our commitment to this.
In addition, as a leading Asian airline with state-of-the-art training facilities, we are active in promoting Hong Kong's aviation industry, and Dragonair's important role in it, through company visits for schools and interested external parties, as well as through participation in appropriate aviation-related events.
Four Focuses of our programme
Through our CSR programme we offer support to various organisations involved in four main areas: arts and culture; education; medical and relief efforts; and the environment.
The Awards
The "Caring Company Logo"
Dragonair has been awarded the "2005/08 Caring Company Logo" by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service to recognise its good corporate citizenship, following our nomination by The Hong Kong Air Cadet Corps. It's the third consecutive year for the airline to receive the award. Dragonair has been working with the Hong Kong Air Cadet Corps on developing an education scheme, the Dragonair Aviation Certificate Programme, since 2005, as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility Programme.
The Hong Kong Council of Social Service is an umbrella organisation of more than 300 non-governmental organisations that promotes social welfare service development.
