For all classes, each passenger (except an infant) can bring a free baggage allowance of one cabin bag not exceeding 56x36x23cm (22x14x9 in) in size and 5kg (11lbs) in weight. These dimensions include wheels, handles and side pockets. For all travel classes, duty-free items are included in your cabin baggage allowance.
In addition to the standard cabin baggage allowance, you may carry onboard one of the following items free:
a small handbag or a small backpack or a briefcase or a laptop bag, AND
an assistive device such as cane, walker, crutch, wheelchair (if cabin stowage is available).
When you are travelling with a child or an infant, you may carry onboard the following item(s) free:
All sharp items must be placed in checked baggage. This includes knives of any sort, metal nail files, scissors, tweezers, and so on. If any of these items are found in your carry-on luggage, they will be confiscated by security, and not returned to you. Dragonair will not assume any responsibility for confiscated items.
Baby buggies and adult wheelchairs must be checked in as hold baggage.
Your responsibility
Dragonair takes the safety of its passengers and crew the top priority. Passengers should stow their cabin baggage in the overhead lockers or under the seat in front of them.
For the interest of safety, passengers should co-operate with members of our cabin crew who may ask for certain personal items to be stowed during take-off and landing. This is especially essential around the emergency exit areas including the overwing exits and bulkhead. Baggage at these areas must be stowed in the overhead lockers. This is to ensure that no baggage would obstruct the evacuation process during an emergency.
For baggage that does not fit in either of these locations, is too heavy for you to lift or exceeds our baggage acceptance allowances, our cabin crew will arrange for it to be placed in the cargo hold. Aircraft coat closets should not be used for the stowage of passenger’s baggage. Observing your baggage limitations is essential for your safety and comfort.
Allowance for journey with a connection to other carriers
Dragonair has its cabin baggage policy. However, individual carriers may apply a different cabin baggage allowance. If your journey involves a connection to other carrier(s), you are advised to check with these carriers for details of their policies and ensure compliance.
