New LAG security measure for passengers transiting Taiwan
With effect from 16 May 2008, a new LAG (Liquid, Aerosol and Gel) security measure will be enforced for passengers transiting Taiwan.Liquid, Aerosol and Gel (LAG), including duty free items, exceeding the 100ml limit will not be allowed to be carried onboard by transit passengers, whether or not LAG items are packed in the tamper evident bag.
Transit passengers who disembark during transit in Taiwan must carry their belongings and undergo security screenings at the transit lounge before boarding again, or passengers can choose to stay on the plane.
For passengers departing from Taipei, the current LAG restrictions remain unchanged.
