1. How do I pay for tickets purchased online? We accept Debit / Credit card issued in China, International Visa and International MasterCard if your journey commences from China.
Please note: The physical credit card used to pay for tickets must be presented by the cardholder for verification at check-in. Otherwise the cardholder or the virtual card user must present the physical card used at the nearest Dragonair Ticketing Office (for journey commencing in Japan, contact Cathay Pacific Ticketing Office) for verification prior to the flight departure. If the credit card used is renewed with a new card number by the credit card issuer between the time of ticket purchase and time of verification, please retain and present the original credit card for verification. The cardholder or the virtual card user does not need to book and travel. The carrier reserves the right to deny boarding, or collect a guarantee payment (in cash or from a new credit card) should the cardholder fail to present the physical card originally used for booking transaction. In addition: If you choose Visa or MasterCard for payment, you may be required to enter your personal password on a secure page for authentication to complete the online purchase; if Verified by Visa or MasterCard® SecureCode security feature is enabled by your credit card company. Please sign up for Verified by Visa and MasterCard® SecureCode with your credit card company if you have not yet registered! |

2. Are online transactions safe? Our online booking facility utilises the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology - an industry-standard method for protecting web communications. Data is encrypted (turned into code) before transmission to prevent it from being intercepted. |

3. When will you charge my credit card after I have made a booking online? Once you have confirmed your booking online, we will immediately issue a debit note to your credit card company. This applies even if you decide to change your travel plans right after. Please contact our eService Centre should you like to rearrange your travel plans or would like to seek a refund. Please note that refund and / or cancellation charges may apply according to applicable fare conditions. |

4. I am a holder of a Hong Kong issued credit card, but the online booking is quoted in USD, am I able to pay in HKD? Yes, if you are a VISA or Master Card holder. Payment in other currency is available for journey that commences from Hong Kong, the UK, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Singapore, the Netherlands, the US, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Denmark or South Africa, |

5. What are the payment methods and currencies that are supported by payment in other currency? We currently offer payment in other currency if payment is made in VISA or Master Card with the following supported currencies:

6. Where can I find online the feature of “payment in other currency? This feature is available for payment of online bookings (including redemption) and online booking change. A payment currency converter can be found after you select either VISA or Master Card option with a list of currencies you can choose to settle your payment with. |

7. I have also purchased online insurance, am I able to pay in currency of my choice? The online booking can be settled in selected currency; however insurance amount cannot be converted and will have to be settled in the originally quoted currency. |

8. What is the currency exchange rate when I pay in currency I selected? The exchange rate of each currency is equivalent to the RBS wholesale rate + 3%. This rate includes all related fees and charges for the conversion. This typically will not be the same as the exchange rate published on newspaper and is generally not available to bank retail customers. |

9. What currency should I get back if I apply refund for the ticket that has selected other currency for payment? Refund currency will be according to the paid currency. |

10. How can I collect my tickets? All tickets are issued as electronic tickets (eTicket). |

11. How do I get a receipt for my booking? For passengers who would like a receipt for their transaction, please contact our eService Centre, or your local Resevations office. |
