Dragonair takes the safety of its passengers and crew seriously. Due to Occupational Health & Safety regulations, Cabin Crew are encouraged not to lift or carry passengers' cabin baggage. Passengers should stow their cabin baggage in the overhead lockers or under the seat in front of you.
However, in the interests of safety, passengers should co-operate with members of our cabin crew who may ask for certain personal items to be stowed during take-off and landing. This is especially essential around the emergency exit areas including the overwing exits and bulkhead. Baggage in these areas must be stowed in the overhead lockers to ensure no baggage can obstruct the evacuation process during an emergency. For any baggage that does not fit in either of these locations and is too heavy for you to lift or exceeds our baggage acceptance allowances, our cabin crew will arrange for it to be placed in the cargo hold. Aircraft coat closets should not be used for the stowage of passenger’s baggage. Observing your baggage limitations is essential for your safety and comfort.
The use of certain carry-on portable electronic devices is restricted inflight, as they may interfere with the aircraft systems and must remain off while the aircraft is taxiing, during take-off, and landing. Mobile phones must be switched off from the time the cabin doors are closed for departure until after landing. The cabin crew will then advise you when you can switch them on again.
Portable electronic devices with their wireless function disabled may be used onboard after take-off, when the cabin crew informs you that it is safe to switch them on and may remain on until the seatbelt sign is turned on for landing. These include Cellular Communication Devices, such as Mobile Phones, and Pagers in “Flight Safe/Airplane” mode with the Phone and Wi-Fi functions disabled; Computing Devices, such as Laptop, Notebook, Tablet, Hand-held, iPad, eBook, and PDAs; Computing Peripheral Devices, such as Printers, and Scanners; Handheld Consoles, such as Games and Toys; Media Players & Audio Recorders, such as MP3/ MP4 Players, DVD/CD Players, Audio Recorders, Audio Headsets, and iPods; Photographic & Video Equipment, such as Cameras, and Camcorders; Personal Timing Equipment, such as Watches, and Clocks; Other Small Electronics Devices, such as Calculators, Electric Shavers, Breast Pumps and Thermometers.
Please note that all portable electronic devices may not be plugged into the aircraft’s utility electrical power supply outlets. An exception is made for electric shavers which may only be used in the appropriate sockets in the lavatories.
Alcohol will not be served to passengers under 18 years of age. Consumption of alcoholic beverages brought from outside the aircraft or purchased onboard is against our company policy. We serve inflight complimentary drinks but we reserve the right to decline alcoholic drinks at the discretion of the crew.
Sharps boxes are provided inflight for disposal of syringes. Please ask our crew for assistance.
The use of devices that affect or restrict the functionality of any aircraft product onboard is strictly prohibited
